Service specification Zoom

Den här texten kommer från SUNETs avtal med NORDUnet, och reglerar tjänstens omfång.

The NORDUnet Zoom video and web conferencing service is based on the Zoom on premise solution and supports the available options and features as described below.

Connecting to the Zoom service:

This is a true cloud service where each organization subscribing to the service will get its own virtual instance of the service.

Each virtual instance of the service will get its own meeting connector in order to be able to connect SAML and integrate other Zoom services that uses a shared secret. A meeting connector is a virtual host that is set up in the NORDUnet on premise Zoom environment. This is done so that no video traffic or other information will leave the Nordics« except for license validation

There are two deployment models

  • Dedicated - The institution will be able to manage their instance of Zoom, meaning each institution is responsible for setting up new users, SAML and other integrations etc.
  • Shared - Multiple institutions will share the same virtual instance and generic SAML integration. The Instance will need to be centrally managed by the local NREN. The integration options will be limited.

Features included for both options

  • Toll-free dial-in
  • Outlook and Lync Plug-ins
  • iPhone/iPad App
  • Android App

Other features for organizations with a dedicated instance include:

  • H323/SIP gateway - gives you the possibility to dial in/out to SIP or H323 endpoints
  • Webinar module for up to 500 participants
  • Large Meetings support for up to 300 participants in one meeting
